Foiling Week 2024: sport and sustainability at the forefront
One Ocean Foundation and ROCKWOOL join forces to promote high-impact environmental commitments

From June 26 to 30 we participated at the Foiling Week 2024 event held in Malcesine, Lake Garda, with our partner ROCKWOOL, which played a significant role of impact partner for the regatta. More than 400 athletes from all over the world gathered to compete on different foiling boats, as well as the ROCKWOOL Denmark SailGP TEAM, who competed in the ETF category and achieved excellent second place.

During the event, One Ocean Foundation had the opportunity to present to ROCKWOOL employees the environmental projects carried out in collaboration with Team Denmark as part of the Sail Grand Prix Impact League. Among the various activities presented, "More Speed Less Plastic," "Race To Restore," and plankton sampling demonstrate how sport and sustainability can go hand in hand and emphasize how sports can be an effective platform to communicate high-impact environmental initiatives at a large scale.

Furthermore, on June 28, One Ocean Foundation, ROCKWOOL and Biodesign joined forces in a clean-up activity at the sailing club Fraglia Vela Malcesine involving more than 50 people, including Foiling Week participants and athletes from the Denmark SailGP Team, showcasing a concrete commitment to environmental protection.

The One Ocean Foundation’s participation in Foiling Week 2024 was a success not only for the sporting results achieved by our partners but also for the important contribute to promote environmental sustainability.
