Course “Navigation and the Environment”
Educational activities for the younger generations

The One Ocean Foundation supports the Centro Velico Caprera sailing school in its commitment to safeguarding the marine ecosystem with the course “Navigation and the Environment”. This environmental monitoring program, led by a biologist, will have a tangible impact on the safeguarding of the Archipelago of La Maddalena.

The aim of the project, supported by the Archipelago of La Maddalena National Park, is to provide participants with basic knowledge on the marine environment of the Bocche di Bonifacio strait and the main factors threatening it. The course will run on a weekly basis, and is scheduled to continue until the third week of September.

This environmental monitoring program, led by a biologist, will have a tangible impact on the safeguarding of the Archipelago of La Maddalena.

It will include wildlife monitoring, plankton sampling and marine litter census activities.

The Foundation is contributing through the purchase of analytical tools and logistical support, and is committed, as always, to spreading awareness of the damage caused by the pollution of our seas.
