Three internationally renowned experts join the Scientific Committee of One Ocean Foundation
The Foundation's commitment to science-driven projects is further reinforced

From the beginning, One Ocean Foundation has guided its activities through an international Scientific Committee composed of leading researchers in their respective fields. This approach ensures that every project, initiative, and action of the Foundation is based on rigorous and up-to-date scientific data, with the goal of achieving concrete and measurable results for the protection of marine ecosystems and the preservation of the ocean.

We are proud to welcome three distinguished new members: Professor Ana Queirós, marine ecologist and climate change expert at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, Professor Judith Walls, professor of sustainability management at the University of St. Gallen, and Professor Elisa Palazzi, climate physicist at the University of Turin.

With their contributions, One Ocean Foundation further consolidates its commitment to developing innovative, evidence-based solutions aimed at long-term sustainability.

Elisa Palazzi

Elisa Palazzi is a professor of climate physics at the Department of Physics, University of Turin, and is affiliated with the Institute of Atmospheric Sciences and Climate of the National Research Council. She studies the climate system and Earth processes, focusing on the current and expected impacts of rising temperatures in mountain regions. She participates in several national and international projects on the current and future evolution of mountain environments. She has experience in science communication through public talks at conferences, festivals, schools, and participation in TV and radio programs. She has written three books on climate and was the author and presenter of a climate podcast.
