Save the ocean with your art!
Call for proposals for artists, cartoonists and art lovers
On the occasion of Milan Games Week an Cartoomics, One Ocean Foundation launched a creative challenge for illustrators, cartoonists, and art enthusiasts, in collaboration with FotoEdizioni. This call invites participants to create a comic strip of 3 or 4 panels centered on ocean conservation.
Harness the power of art to raise awareness and amplify messages of hope, protection, and respect for the ocean. This project aims to engage the art community in reflecting on environmental issues, inviting creators to express their deep connection with the sea and to promote positive actions for its preservation.
Format: Comic strip of 3 or 4 panels in any artistic style.
Theme: Ocean conservation. Works may explore themes such as:
o The importance of marine biodiversity
o The impact of pollution and microplastics
o Regeneration of marine ecosystems
o The relationship between humanity and the ocean
o Hope for a more sustainable future for the sea
The winning piece will be published in the June issue of Enigmista IN, distributed nationwide, and will be officially awarded during One Ocean Week in Milan at the beginning of June. This is a unique opportunity to showcase your message on a prestigious platform and help raise awareness on ocean protection among a broader audience.
Artists must submit their works by January 31st, 2025. The work must be sent to secretariat@1ocean.org, specifying in the subject line: "Save the ocean with your art", sending an email to secretariat@1ocean.org.
