Our ambassador Caterina Banti wins olympic gold medal at Paris 2024
One Ocean Foundation ambassador won her second olympic gold medal, dominating the Nacra 17 Mixed Multihull

Our ambassador Caterina Banti wins her second Olympic gold medal. With a second-place finish in the final race, Caterina Banti, along with helmsman Ruggero Tita, reaffirms her status as an Olympic champion in the Mixed Multihull Nacra 17, winning gold again at the Paris 2024 Games, repeating the success from Tokyo. The races held on the waters of Marseille were literally dominated by Caterina and Ruggero, who entered the Medal Race—the final double-point race, where the top ten teams compete after 12 qualifying races—with the mathematical certainty of winning a medal. To win the gold medal, they only needed a seventh-place finish out of ten competitors, well within their reach thanks to their qualifying results.

Congratulations to Caterina Banti, but not only to her. Anne Marie Rindom, an athlete from the Denmark SailGP Team, won silver in the Female Dinghy ILCA 6, a class in which she is the world champion.

A big thank you to our ambassadors from One Ocean Foundation!
