5th edition
Interconnections between Ecosystems
The 2026 edition took place in Milan from May 22 to 24 at the MuBA – Children’s Museum Milan, in the evocative setting of the Rotonda della Besana.
The theme of interconnections was an invitation to reflect on the impact of our actions: from consumption choices to lifestyles and production models, every gesture contributes to the overall balance of the planet. During a series of diverse panels the audience could explore all the different perspectives on what it means to be connected with the ocean and why it is so important for everyone to take their part. From sport, via food to the big role that art and communication play, all speakers came with a mission, a mission to share their perspective and engage in vibrant dialogues. In collaboration with MuBA, the workshops for kids and families offered a space of interaction, beyond mere dialogue, to address even the youngest of us and set the first important steps in engaging the public for a shared goal, making this mission tangible and comprehensible for all generations.
As a dynamic and international city, Milano reaffirmed its position as a crossroad of people, ideas and development models, demonstrating how even an urban environment can play a key role in protecting the ocean.
