They come, they see, they win. That’s how it works. Since 2001 Trieste-born Furio Benussi’s Fast and Furio team has won a wealth of world, European and Italian titles, as well as victories in classic regattas such as the Giraglia Rolex Cup, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, the Rolex Middle Sea Race, the Barcolana, the Copa del Rey, the Sardinia Cup, the Transatlantic Race, the Round the Island Race, the Swan 45 Mediterranean Championship, the Trofeo de la Reina and the Zegna Trophy, to name but a few.
Furio Benussi is a professional sailor, helmsman, tactician, tailer and entrepreneur: for more than 15 years, in fact, he has been managing boats in regattas and related events. He is now team manager of the Fast and Furio sailing team, with which he has racked up numerous international sporting successes.
The Foundation relies on this team of excellent sailors to spread awareness of the pressing environmental challenges that lie ahead and, given their aptitude for success, how to overcome them.
